No. StanShareAI requests read-only access to your portfolio data. We can see your positions, values, and performance — but we cannot place orders, move money, or make any changes to your account. This is by design: StanShareAI is a research and analytics platform, not a trading platform.

No. The connection works with standard Individual, Joint, Trust, and IRA IBKR accounts. Your account must be funded and active (not paper trading only). If you're in the European Economic Area, your account must support the Client Portal Web API — which all standard IBKR accounts do.

This is intentional and a security feature. When you click "Connect", you're redirected to Interactive Brokers' own secure website to log in and grant permission. This way, your credentials never leave IBKR's systems. After you authorise the connection, IBKR sends StanShareAI a secure access token (like a temporary key card) — not your password.

Click the Disconnect button on this page at any time — it immediately revokes StanShareAI's access. For extra certainty, you can also revoke access directly from your IBKR account under Settings → User Settings → Third-Party Connections.

Position data refreshes every time you visit this page or click the Refresh button. During market hours, IBKR provides near-real-time data (typically delayed by 15 minutes unless you subscribe to live data through IBKR's market data subscription).
